Monkey Kingdom Announces Expansion to Bitcoin Blockchain, Holders to Receive NFT Airdrop
The Asian-based NFT project, Monkey Kingdom, has announced that it will be minting NFTs on the Bitcoin blockchain for its community. The new protocol called “Ordinals” has recently been launched on the Bitcoin NFT platform and has received significant attention from the market, with its floor price reaching 4 BTC.
Last month, Monkey Kingdom announced that it was planning to move from Solana to Ethereum, which was originally scheduled for the 27th of this month. However, the team recently announced on February 10th that they would be recasting the first and second-generation NFTs of their series on the Bitcoin blockchain and distributing them to current holders. Those who relocate their NFTs to Ethereum will receive an airdrop reward in the form of NFTs on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Established in November 2021, Monkey Kingdom was Asia’s first prominent NFT project and was once considered a top-tier project on Solana. In 2022, they have already collaborated with the Japanese fashion brand AMBUSH and developed a tower defense blockchain game. Additionally, they started 2023 by issuing coins on the KuCoin exchange on February 9th, with a cumulative 24-hour transaction volume of 4 million dollars.
